You guessed it, I am a senior myself! I live on the beach in South Florida, as do many, many other seniors. By trade, I am a web developer. I help clients leverage the web to build their businesses.
While talking with other seniors, I became aware that many were themselves providing necessary daily in-home care for a disabled loved one. In the process these caregivers were becoming exhausted and their health was suffering.
Caregiver Respite Care
That’s when I heard an ad on a local radio station promoting a Senior Day Care Service Center. Bingo! A place where disabled seniors could spend the day with others in the same situation. Disabled elderly get needed care, supervision, and the opportunity to participate in all sorts of activities with their peers. As a bonus, caregivers can rest, run errands, or even hold down a day job – a win-win situation!
I thought this was such a great idea, that I went on the web expecting to see all sorts of listing for Senior Day Care Centers. But no such luck. There are Centers listed, unfortunately most are hard to find. That gave me the idea to create a web site that would make it easy for caregivers all over the country to locate and learn about similar Centers in their area.
That is how www.seniordayservices.com came to be! We are now busy trying to locate all the Centers that offer day care for older Americans, so all their information can be included.
